Minor Program


Requirements

  • Students must complete a total of 15 credit hours in Ethnic Studies with a 2.5 GPA. All five courses must be taken with a letter grade of at least a "C".
  • Pre-requisites: Sophomore standing or consent of instructor.
  • Field of Concentration: Working and Living in an Ethnically Diverse Society.
  • ES 101, ES 301
  • ES 380 - Must be a section that requires service learning involving service in the communities. Student must complete at least fifty hours of supervised community service.
  • 6 credits-hours from elective courses: ES 310, ES 318, ES 340, ES 348, ES 350, ES 360, ES 390, ES 410, ES 420, ES 440, ES 455C

ES 420 American Ethnic Relations: Politics & Economy (3) ES 440 Contemporary African Diaspora and Black Communities Beyond the United States (3)
ES 455C Hawaiian Sovereignty in Pacific Context (3)
